Taking a Ride on the Pain Train. Choo-choo.

So that picture to the left reminds me of my workout today. For some reason though, I find it a very positive feeling to be totally spent from physical exertion. I have actually built up enough fitness now that I feel like I'm actually able to complete a decent workout, which is good, even if I would have easily shrugged off what I did today a few years ago. Can't help where I am, only where I'm going. Or some other inane statement.

I'm being so domestic. I've cooked my roomate dinner twice in a row now. Today I was just a total homebody aside from going out to run, I used the new intertron connection to download the latest Pride FC event, which was pretty darn good (including the Wanderlei Silva fight seen above) and I also downloaded the latest UFC event, which had a different Silva performing incredibly well. Anderson Silva was fighting Chris Leben, who is a very competent fighter, and held his hands up in a pretty good guard, but Silva's punches, kicks, and knees made it look like Leben was just standing there with his hands down. Nothing missed or was even partially blocked, and he dropped his opponent in around one minute flat. Technical genius on display here. You can't see it in that clip, but afterwards Silva gave Leben his water bottle, good sportsmanship too. Check out my MMA blog here, I'm working on a series about why it's the best sport in the world.

I need to figure out who's still in town and get out more... tomorrow I'm going to Maureen's birthday dealie, and Martini will be back on sunday, and maybe even available for hanging out. More job search tomorrow, and cooking something nice for Maureen hopefully.

And no, I didn't get that screenplay done. Maybe Tuesday, I doubt tomorrow.
